Medley Court at Hever Castle

Details

Medley Court is a luxurious four bedroom holiday cottage at Hever Castle in Kent which has received a gold award and five star rating from Enjoy England.

The property forms part of the Astor Wing, William Waldorf Astor's magnificent addition to Hever Castle in 1903. The cottage had been refurbished and redecorated to the highest standard while retaining all of Astor's handcrafted wood panelling and many of the original period features. It offers a wealth of facilities including a spacious lounge, separate formal dining area, luxurious family bathroom with a roll top bath and two en-suite bathrooms. The new kitchen is fitted with handmade wooden units, inset and chandelier lighting, polished granite work surfaces and limestone tile flooring with under-floor heating - perfect for a leisurely breakfast.

Whilst staying at the cottage, guests benefit from a pass to visit the 13th century double moated castle, once the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's ill-fated second wife and mother of Queen Elizabeth I. They also have access to much of the award winning gardens, lake and parkland in complete privacy during times when the grounds are closed to the public. Close by is the Hever Golf Club where guests enjoy a preferential rate, while the cottage is conveniently located for visiting other historic attractions in the Garden of England.
